Michael Corlone kemudian menggantikan bapanya menjadi The Godfather. Dalam filem The Godfather Part III di mana dia cuba dibelot, dia telah membuat kenyataan 'Politics and crime, they are the same'.

When we became children again - Part 3

We went again to this place for our breakfast.

Talking like children while waiting for breakfast to be served. The bald brother in the orange shirt is Selvarajah of Kuantan, a rare Indian in a Malay dominated school.

While one half of the group went to play golf, the other half including me visited our friend Mat Saad Jusoh. He is at extreme right welcoming us.

Brother Mat Jusoh was supposed to be walking with a cane, but I did not see any cane today. He was four years my senior and we shared the same school dormitory in 1962.

Here were us enjoying our second breakfast at brother Mat Saad's house.

The post is not complete without me in the pictures. This photo was taken by brother Mat Saad.

A group photo afterwards. This photo was taken by Nazir Md Shah, our Alumni Secretary.

We were on our way home. We made a pit stop here beside the Karak Highway.

This was what we stopped for, the Musang King durian. The Chinese seller said in the past only the Chinese stopped and ate his durians. But now the Malays are getting rich and ate his durians too. Tak apalah taukeh, kita satu Malaysia.

Waiting for the 'king' to be served.

Eating the Musang King. It was the first time I ate this 'king'. But my mother's durians in the kampung taste no worse.

Something I have been doing doing for years, a selfie.

We have reached our destination at Shah Alam. The bus then sent me, Salihodin and Muhamad to Bandar Bukit Mahkota and Seremban.

Until our next gathering, that's all folks.

When we became children again - Part 2

I'ts dinner and speeches time. We were treated by our Pahang counterparts. We were informed that the food for dinner and breakfast the day after were sponsored by one of them who was doing his Umrah in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We had our dinner and breakfast here. This Chevrolet showroom is operated by one of us.

Talking about the old days while enjoying the food.

Standing and sitting.

Although the food was ready, they wanted to talk first.

As usual our Alumni Secretary was busy writing things.

Dato' Ghani, five years my senior, formerly Pahang State Secretary and now Presiden, Pahang Government Pensioners Association giving his welcome speech.

Now the turn of Fadhil Ahmad, our Alumni President giving his speech.

Dato' Ghani receiving souveniors from Fadhil Ahmad.

Still having time to play with the smart phone.

Enjoying the dinner and company.

With classmate Jamaluddin Aziz, who I first met in 1962.

Something I have been doing for years, a selfie.

This is Yahya Akasah of Pahang who created the school logo, something that does not change although the school had shifted three times.

Listening to the speeches.

To be continued.

When we became children again - Part 1

My former boss invited me for her only daughter's wedding. My surau was celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad. I was blessed with another granddaughter a few days before. My children and their families were back home for the weekend. My railway fans club invited me for their visit to the Gemas railway station.

But I had to forgo all that to be somewhere else. I was with my school friends at Kuantan, Pahang. Here is a pictorial story of the choice my being with them instead, in three parts.

It started here. I boarded the KTM Komuter train at Seremban with school friend Muhamad Abdullah from Melaka. It was Muhamad's first taste of the KTM Komuter although we had been on KTM trains during our school days.

We alighted at Bandar Tasik Selatan where we were joined by Salihodin, my junior.

Then we joined six others in this Inokom mini bus. There were already six friends on board plus the driver. They started their journey from Shah Alam, Selangor.

In the bus. We took the Lebuhraya Pantai Timur (LPT).

We stopped at a petrol station to have a coffee break because the Rest and Recreation area near Temerloh was full.

We have reached our destination. This is the Wisma Belia at Bandar Indera Mahkota, Kuantan.

This is our first programme, attending the wedding of our school mate Misron Dimin's daughter. My school friends came from Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Terengganu and Kelantan for this occassion.

Since we were early birds we could afford to take a group photograph with the host.

From left Dr. Anwa Sulaiman who had just retired from the post of Director of Health, Terengganu, Dato' Mamat Ghazalee Abdul Rahman, former Terengganu EXCO member who likes to be called Abang Li, Nazir Md Shah, our Alumni Secretary and Ehsan Jaman, Alumni EXCO member.

The meetings of two Dato's. Dato' Salamon Selamat was formerly Selangor State Assembly speaker and Mayor of Shah Alam. He and Dato' Abang Li were two good speakers during school days. Dato' Salamon even won a national oratory award.

There are three Dato's here, a former State Secretary, a former Judge and a Professor.

My friend on the left was called 'Tipah' in school because he has a mole below the left side of his lips like the late actress Latifah Omar.

Here the mole is apparent.

In the end we had a group photograph while the host was busy entertaining guests. I was too much engrossed with my friends that I forgot to snap photographs of the bride and groom.

This is the perfect gift from the host, bottled Pahang honey with the words "Thank You" and ''Once a Sdarian, Always a Sdarian".

End of Part 1.
